Tired of Logging onto a Exchange server to run some quick powershell commands.
If you have Powershell installed on your Win7/8 computer you can just make a remote PowerShell session to the Exchange server. The hope is also that it would be faster than RDP traffic also.
1) Open Powershell as Admin
2) Set the Execution Policy to Unrestricted (You need this to run a script.)
set-executionpolicy -executionpolicy unrestricted
3) Create a session variable with all the needed data.
$session = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange -ConnectionUri http://ExchangeServerName.domain.local/PowerShell -Authentication Kerberos
4) Open the session
Opening the session can take a few mins as it downloads all the required modules before opening the session.
While looking into this matter I stumbled across another method of doing this should you be on XP.
